Why are governments against cryptocurrencies?

The total amount of fiat currency collected from people entering the crypto market is less than $100 billion, which includes not only USD but Euros, UK pounds, Japanese yens, etc.

The total market cap of crypto-currencies is 2+ trillion in stable coins (USDT/USDC/BUSD…).

People may eventually find that they are unable to cash out their stable crypto-coins into fiat currencies.

If investments evaporate governments still have to take care of people who invested in the crypto-market even if they don’t like it.
