Do Bitcoin nodes need consent to store EU citizen's personal data?

In general bitcoin nodes and nodes of other blockchains do not store any personal data.

They store only transfer requests + results and smart contract calls + results (on blockchains which support smart contracts).

In general, storing data on blockchains is expensive.

Crypto-exchanges and wallet provider companies may run their own blockchain nodes - they require user registration and most likely comply with EU privacy regulations.
